Hi –

The suggested addition of a new breach re: a lack of rigour, while logical with regard to addressing it in the context of 2.1.2a, is not clearly enough defined to constitute a formal breach. More specifically, it seems that 2.1.2b-f constitute the elements of rigour (and potential breach) and the creation of a separate breach would require turning to b-f to identify the specific area. I therefore suggest that the language of rigour be moved into the preamble and that the list (b-f) be reset to a-e.

Further, I worry that questions of rigour in the proposal of new research or the interpretation of data, for example, will be moved out of the domain of scientific exchange/debate/education and potentially inappropriately moved into questions of research integrity.
