The Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research (SRCR), in conjunction with the Panel on Research Ethics (PRE) and the Panel on Responsible Conduct of Research (PRCR), administer a grant program to support events that complement their mandate to promote research ethics and the responsible conduct of research.
The SRCR Education and Training Support (SETS) program contributes to the cost of events, such as conferences and workshops, that advance and promote understanding of the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS) and/or the Tri-Agency Framework: Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR Framework).
The SRCR administers the SETS program on behalf of the three federal research agencies: Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR); Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC); and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). SETS grants are available to individuals or groups affiliated with institutions eligible to administer Agency funds. A list of eligible institutions is available online on the CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC websites.
