To whom it may concern,

I write to express my support for the response put forth by Dr. Michael Hoffman to the tricouncil's Proposed Revisions on the Responsible Conduct of Research Framework, found here: https://hoffman.bitbucket.io/2021/rcr-framework.html. Decreasing secrecy around investigations of scientific misconduct is the foundation of such a policy. We need to do better with this in Canada, and the suggestions put forth by Dr. Hoffman are practical steps to improve how we as a scientific community handle these issues.
